Sport Village Hotel & Spa is just out of Castel di Sangro and 15 minutes' drive from ski slopes at Roccaraso. The hotel has a large wellness center and great kids' facilities. At the Sport Village you are a short walk from a water park. The hotel has a kids' club, playrooms, TV rooms, lounges with board games and games rooms with table football and table tennis, Playstation and videogames. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all rooms and the lobby. The wellness center at Sport Village Hotel & Spa has a small indoor relaxation pool, together with saunas and massage rooms. Bikes are available at the Sport Village and friendly staff can organize guided tours of the Abruzzo National Park. Your room here comes with satellite TV and a mini-bar.

The glass windows provide the same view from the modern, sleek, and minimalist interior rooms, just like the dishes: creative, yet reminiscent of local cuisine, such as the simple but tasty Pallotta Cacio e Ova, offered among the welcome bites. There are also various daily specials according to the market. The service is friendly and attentive, with a young and motivated team overall.

Despite its lack of awards, this restaurant stands out for the quality of its cuisine. Situated in the town centre, it has a small intimate dining room with just a few tables (it’s best to book ahead) that acts as a backdrop for good-quality dishes made from local, seasonal ingredients, as well as a few modern and imaginative fish options. Highly recommended!
