In the restaurant of the grand Hotel Stadthaus, whichever one of the different rooms you are seated in, the same delicious cuisine is on the menu – from Swiss classics, such as Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, to vegetarian dishes and a set "Bistro Menu". The 14th generation of the same family is at the helm of this gorgeous traditional Bernese inn – it was first documented in 1261. Whether you eat in the pretty, inviting dining area or the lovely garden, you will be treated to friendly service and delicious food with a traditional regional character. This restaurant is a little out of the way, but it's worth the journey to this remote location, knowing that a cosy, rustic-style space awaits diners, as well as a lovely terrace, which is very popular in summer! But let's not forget the cooking of owner Christoph Hunziker: his flavoursome dishes show strong ties to the region, follow the seasons, and are occasionally given a modern twist.
