Owner Kathrin Bucher has been running this restaurant in an attractive old villa near Lörrach exhibition centre since 2012. Dine in the cosy, bright interior or, in summer, out on the wonderful terrace. They serve lunch only: until 3pm you can order the set menu or from a small menu compiled from favourite dishes of the last decade. After that, there are desserts and ice creams/sorbets until 5pm.

Krone has been properly invested in: from the façade to the hotel rooms, everything is chic and high quality, the restaurant is modern and sleek. The food is very good, with select produce turned into aromatic dishes with plenty of flavour. At lunchtime, a smaller range of interesting options. Set up in what was formerly the gardener's house on a historical country estate, this is the trendy restaurant-bar concept of the Düster and Schneider restaurateur and winemaking families. Christoph Düster's cuisine is made up of what could be described as "modernised classics".
