This hotel is located near the famous monastery brewery in the heart of the historic spa town of Neuzelle, in the Oder-Spree district, near the Polish border. Come and stay in the Hotel Prinz Albrecht, and enjoy the country-house style furnishings with a Baroque touch. The hotel was built in the 1990’s on this historic site where a 16th century inn once stood. The beautiful natural countryside around the hotel can be best discovered on foot or by bicycle. Venture into the scenic Schlaubetal (River Schlaube valley).

This restaurant is located close to the 13C Cistercian monastery and its Baroque church. The chic decor has a modern, casual feel, and the kitchen is open to view. The dishes served here are pleasantly down to earth and packed with flavour. Ingredients are chosen according to the season and predominantly sourced from within a 50km radius. The estate is worth a visit in its own right. The palace and 620ha Branitz Park landscaped by Prince Hermann von Pückler in the 19C are conducive to a stroll. Lou (a nickname given to Prince Pückler) is an elegant restaurant housed in the smart Kavaliersbau (squire's lodge). Here, chef-patron Tim Sillack serves up modern seasonal cuisine with an artful juxtaposition of regional and international influences. The individual courses of the menu can also be ordered à la carte. "Pückler Eis" (Neapolitan ice cream) has a permanent place on the menu and is something of a signature dessert. There are

"AS" refers to both the lakeside location (am See: Scharmützelsee) and the initials of chef-patron Andreas Staack. In this inviting, friendly place – a cross between a wine bar and a bistro – the affable owner devises a five-course menu out of his modern dishes, such as "gnocchi, morel cream, sot-l'y-laisse" and "sea bass, fennel, mussel cream". The quality of the ingredients is top notch, and the bill is good value for money. On Sundays, the set menu is available at lunchtime. The restaurant is nestled in a side street in a quiet, leafy residential area a stone's throw from the spa gardens. I
