• Dorf-Chronik This attractive winegrower's house dating back to 1747 stands in the centre of the town. Stefan Püngeler and his wife Michela De Munno – well-known figures in the region – have taken over the reins here after a successful run at Restaurant Schneider in Dernbach. He is in charge of the kitchen, and she is responsible for the friendly service. On the menu: flavoursome Italian fare – the house-made pasta is a particular highlight. • Tischlein Deck Dich by Lilly Having worked at Lilly in Neupotz, Stefan Echle (service) and Matthis Nowak (kitchen) have found their new vocation – in the vaulted cellar of the separately run Villa Königsgarten hotel (formerly Weingut Diehl). A few steps lead down from the courtyard to the restaurant. As you make your way to the dining area, you can take a peek into the glass-paned kitchen, while the modern, seasonal set menu, which offers a choice of options for each course, is being prepared.
