Its colour scheme echoes the surrounding nature – the tables upholstered in forest-green Alcantara are particularly striking. There is an open kitchen area, where diners can see some of the dishes being finished and plated up. What was once the town hall is now home to a cosy yet on-trend restaurant that combines contemporary design with the warmth of wood and natural tones. The cuisine is ambitious, creative and modern, but at the same time agreeably down-to-earth. The names of the dishes are original, such as "Feuerstarter" ("Firestarter"): corn-fed chicken pot-au-feu from the charcoal grill, or "Geflüster" ("Whispers"): Ahrenholz catfish fillet, char caviar, pea medallions, leek, elderflower beurre blanc.
