This lovingly run restaurant is tucked away in the Heiligenkreuzerhof, a Cistercian monastery dating back to the 12C, and its assortment of pretty dining rooms creates a genuinely cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The lovely tranquil courtyard terrace is also not to be overlooked, and the charming service is the icing on the cake. On the menu: internationally inspired dishes and Austrian classics – think wild red prawn with rhubarb, nasturtium and sweet potato, or Wiener schnitzel served with potato and lamb's lettuce salad, lingonberries and lemon. Tip: wines from selected Austrian vintners.
