The attractive modern interior of this restaurant tucked away in a building complex may come as a surprise – the small glass dry-aging refrigerator at the entrance and the kitchen, visible through a large window, draw the eye. As the name makes clear, steak is the mainstay of this joint, but there are other appealing mains, starters and desserts. Fish and seafood are available only if ordered when you book. As the name suggests, the focus here is on meat and different steaks. You choose the size and how you would like it cooked – the kitchen takes care of the rest. There is a variety of side dishes and sauces to accompany the meat.

Lively and very much on trend, this restaurant enjoys a very central location in the city. Beyond the bar by the entrance (ideal for a cocktail), the dining space has an urban, industrial feel and features an open kitchen. The modern dishes created here – such as "grilled pork belly, ginger spinach, fermented black bean sauce" and "zander filet, confit leek, bean purée, parsley, Jerusalem artichoke" – are visually appealing and impress with their quality and bold flavours.

This charming modern restaurant on the premises of the House of Arts is a cosy setting. The names of artists who, through donations, have contributed to the upkeep of the establishment are displayed on the ceiling. Wine plays an important role here, as the eye-catching floor-to-ceiling wine store suggests. As well as two tasting menus and a vegetarian set menu, there is an à la carte selection.
