Blue Hill at Stone Barns

American, Contemporary · ★★ Michelin

$$$$

The passion of Chef Dan Barber is at the core of everything here, where a meal is a true experience that uniquely knits together his vision of improving our foodways, the grit of utilizing the land to provide sustenance, and luxurious touches like crisped linens and fine crystal.A procession of dramatically presented, farm-fresh seasonal produce kicks off the meal and may include freshly plucked radishes with browned butter, Hakurei turnips dressed with poppy seeds, and morsels of dried honeypatch squash. While the focus is plant-based, heartier compositions may reveal roasted, retired dairy c

Chutney Masala

Indian, Regional Cuisine · 必比登

This longstanding restaurant in idyllic Irvington is a rather special place. Tucked along Main Street and framed by windows, it is bright and welcoming, thanks to mustard-yellow walls and art, and hand-blown glass light fixtures. A small, inlaid-tile bar out front welcomes one and all to dine on a wonderful, flavor-rich carte from Chef/co-owner Navjot Arora. Local, organic produce star in such complex, boldly spiced dishes as bhindi masala (imbued with tangy amchoor). Chana masala reaches delicious heights when paired with a sweet and nutty Peshawari naan, and pulu rasam, a lentil-based tomato

Burrata

Italian-American, Pizza · 必比登

Burrata is busy at all times for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is the Chef/owner Chas Anderson's ability to create gorgeous, flavorful food. Even the open-floor design, with windows aplenty and oyster-tinted walls, is fresh and inviting. Thanks to the use of top-shelf ingredients and a wood-burning oven, this is a menu with not-to-miss pizze, along with starters and mains that deliciously blend New York and Italian sensibilities with a modern take on the beloved "red sauce" joint. Veal polpettine with robiolina cheese and tomato sauce is comfort in a bowl, as is the rigatoni enric

The Cookery

Italian, Gastropub · 必比登

It’s a cute neighborhood spot yet this restaurant far exceeds what might be expected with cooking that goes completely outside of the box. It’s why every seat is almost always filled with young couples, families, and regulars. Artisanal products are given the royal treatment here; the duck liver cannoli is shatteringly crisp and filled with rich duck liver mousse. All of the appetizers are excellent, and rotating daily specials are always worth a second look. House-made radiatore is tossed with an unctuous lamb Bolognese, but do not sleep on the market vegetables, where even a simple grilled g

Osteria Padre Pio

$$$

Naming a restaurant after a saintly miracle worker is a bold move but there's a reason why locals keep coming back. Chef Andrea Ingenito is onto something, and is supremely dedicated to offering a true Campanian experience to guests. The interior is inviting and charming, matched only by the warm hospitality and carefully crafted dishes. Nearly everything is made from scratch here, where each table is given a beautiful wooden board loaded with room-temperature caponatina and plenty of house-made focaccia. It's tempting, but but don't fill up, and don't skip the specials. From the baked corvina

Boro6 Wine Bar

Contemporary, Italian · 必比登

Westchester is clearly upping its culinary game and attracting real talent. Case in point: this gleaming gem of a spot, headed by Paul DiBari. A citywide mover and shaker, he is spearheading this contemporary, focused kitchen and stellar beverage selection.Find a seat at the marble bar and watch the magic unfold. Soft jazz fills the air, as highly civilized servers deliver your fare. Hand-cut maltagliati with ricotta, tomatoes and basil; brasato di spalla di manzo braised in red wine with mascarpone polenta; or rillettes de cochon with pork confit are just some of the feats. The blood orange-o

Its stark exterior does not hint at the warm vibe or enticing bites, bound to tempt even the most stoic eater here. One glance around this buzzy and well-appointed dining room proves that it is cherished by multi-generational groups. The setting paints an intriguing picture, thanks to sleek, intricately carved wooden panels, tables, chairs and vivid artwork. Semi-private booths are ingeniously lit, and most popular. The menu boasts a litany of delightful appetizers, like tender soup dumplings. Classics—like garlic-pepper shrimp with leeks and celery—are prepared with exacting technique and deli

Raasa Indian restaurant

Indian, Regional Cuisine

RaaSa's menu is bright, refined and expansive as it meanders through the myriad Indian regions.Kick things off with an order of bhel puri, a palate-pleasing combination of sweet, spicy and tart that is a popular street snack. Coconut rice, garlic naan and raita make delicious accompaniments to the likes of lamb curry in a tomato-based curry that balances sweet and savory with notes of sweet onion, garlic and a subtle gingery kick. If that doesn't leave you wanting more, desserts like kulfi falooda garnished with vermicelli, tapioca seeds and rose syrup, will do the trick. Drinks are equally st
