The journey to get there is long, no matter where you come from, but it's truly worth it! An entire family – second and third generation – walks side by side along the path set since 1977, devoting themselves with great passion to the art of gourmet hospitality. The cuisine, crafted and executed by father Marcello together with his son Mattia, is founded on a deep respect for the land and the seasonality of the ingredients. These principles often lead to self-production: products from their two gardens, one conventional and one synergistic, appear in almost every dish, as well as their EVO oil

Way back in 1966, Ginetta and Arcangelo probably never dreamed for a moment that their modest tavern would become so famous. Nowadays, the Tinari family comprises mother-and-son Angela and Arcangelo in the kitchen, and Peppino and Pascal front of house, all of whom offer guests a warm welcome in their restaurant on the edge of the Parco della Maiella. Here, you’ll enjoy authentic Abruzzo dishes with the occasional surprising and creative twist on three tasting menus (chosen when you make your booking). A good choice also for beer-lovers, with over a thousand different labels available includin

Situated on the road that passes through Manoppello Scalo, this restaurant with a car park right in front of the building boasts a spacious, simple dining room and is our recommended choice in the region for anyone keen to try typical Abruzzo cuisine. Meat takes pride of place among the main courses (with an exception for salted cod), while menu highlights include excellent fried gnocchi with local salumi and cheese.

Situated amid the maze of narrow streets in the old town of Pacentro and occupying the wine cellars of an imposing 16C palazzo, this restaurant celebrates regional cuisine in all its glory in specialities such as spaghetti with saffron and truffles.

Up until a few years ago, the owner-chef at this restaurant was working as a painter – a fact that is evident from the artistic touch in his cuisine. His recipes are modern and personalised, with careful attention naturally paid to harmonious presentation, while the flavour of his dishes is brought out by ingredients that are skilfully chosen from the Abruzzo inland area. In 2024, the restaurant moved to new, centrally located premises which have an intimate feel and are elegant and minimalist in style.

Housed in what was once an old family home, this elegant restaurant serves delicious regional cuisine. The menu includes dishes that have been skilfully and imaginatively enhanced by the chef, such as warm pheasant terrine with apple, alongside more traditional fare, from cured ham to charcoal-grilled local lamb and potato gnocchi with a duck sauce. The restaurant’s own extra-virgin olive oil often adds further flavour to the dishes. The 4-course tasting menu deserves a special mention for its excellent value for money.
