Unadulterated style and opulence – lofty columns, ornate mouldings and tall bouquets of flowers, all bathed in soft light pouring in from the interior garden… Here, in one of the most prestigious Parisian palaces, chef Christian Le Squer commands respect by working his magic year after year. His timeless cuisine, always showcasing outstanding produce, unveils his virtuoso technique and phenomenal delicacy. Hailing from Morbihan, he never fails to pay tribute to his native Brittany, brilliantly celebrating this terroir and its seafood, eg lait ribot (Breton buttermilk) is paired with caviar and

L'Orangerie

Modern Cuisine · ★★ Michelin

This restaurant is established in this glazed extension in the courtyard of the George V hotel, graced by an amazing hanging porcelain sculpture of thousands of bougainvillea petals. It provides the perfect foil to the chef’s healthy universe which zooms in on vegetables as well as dairy produce and seafood, as he voluntarily eschews meat. The ingredients are superb, the cooking is surgically precise, as is the balance struck between the flavours. As for the remarkably light sauces, they subtly combine maritime and vegetable notes and manage to bring an element of surprise to each dish, while

Pierre Gagnaire

In an interior dominated by a masterful charcoal work, an "urban cave painting" depicting a bestiary by the artist Adel Abdessemed, Pierre Gagnaire continues to finetune France’s culinary scene with his adventurous, wholehearted and excessive signature cuisine. This fan of jazz and contemporary art never rests on his laurels. Gagnaire's restaurant, which has had three stars since 1996, reflects his character: modern, understated and subtly sophisticated, all of which is in perfect harmony with the service. The poetic dishes are constantly reinvented, like small "satellite" portions sent into o

A magnificent Baccarat chandelier, immaculate white decor and delicate floral arrangements all contribute to the chic yet relaxed decor designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon… Guests are left in no doubt that this is part of the exclusive Four Seasons George V hotel! At Le George, Simone Zanoni has definitely made his culinary mark here with his Italian-inspired dishes. This light and airy cuisine is enchanting; Zanoni's dishes are served in small portions, with particular attention paid to the flavours and cooking methods of the Mediterranean. Enjoy your meal either indoors or in the high-ceilinged c

This lavish 1884 private mansion just off the Champs-Élysées is graced with a luxurious interior that embodies the essence of French art de vivre. In the wake of Christophe Pelé, Andrea Capasso has embraced the house tradition of unfettered, yet disciplined cuisine strewn with bold notes. A keen surf and turf champion, the chef slips Italian twists into what he calls ‘satellite’ dishes, while savvily developing a single theme within each menu. The wine list is enough to make your head spin; one of its two sections is devoted to the owner's prestigious wines. The lounges on the upper floors are

Le Gabriel - La Réserve Paris

Creative · ★★★ Michelin

Just a well-heeled step from the Champs-Élysées, this restaurant is set in the swish, swanky La Réserve, a 19C Napoleon III-style mansion refurbished by renowned interior designer, Jacques Garcia. The dining room is clad in magnificent materials, such as Spanish gilt leather and Versailles parquet flooring. Jérôme Banctel affirms his distinctive culinary personality with two tasting menus: "Virée", a tribute to his native Brittany, and "Périple", an invitation to travel the world – taking in Japan, as well as Turkey, where the chef discovered the incomparable textures produced by cooking in li

Established in this iconic luxury hotel on Avenue Montaigne, a high-flying kitchen brigade consummately and indulgently adds a fresh perspective to France’s culinary heritage: Dieppe-style seabass, Albufera poultry, venison à la royale and the extravagant “grand dessert”… Seated at the majestic marble table d'hôte in the Régence hall dripping in gilt work and pampered by Denis Courtiade’s on-the-ball team, how could you not fall under the spell?

Monsieur Dior by Yannick Alléno

Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

On the first floor of the lavish and historic Dior boutique, founded here on Avenue Montaigne by the fabled couturier in 1946, the bright and elegant dining room is instantly captivating, right down to the Dior tableware. Yannick Alléno has crafted a menu of refined dishes inspired by the vocabulary of haute couture: "New Look" sea bass, The Christian Dior egg with Paris ham and caviar, poached sole with beurre blanc and shellfish, and "hand-stitched poularde with black truffle macaroni". A dining experience that is as exclusive as the venue.
