The location on the outskirts of the city in the Hajszan Neumann estate, which is operated by winemaker Fritz Wieninger, is something special in itself. Here, a wonderful brick vaulted ceiling and stylish interior design make for a distinctive look. The cuisine of Juan Amador more than lives up to the setting – he uses the finest ingredients to devise a modern and sophisticated set menu comprising dishes that are finely balanced and consistently harmonious. Take, for example, the wonderfully firm red mullet fillet, cooked to a perfect translucent finish, topped with well-seasoned anchovies and

Sören Herzig's restaurant is located in the 15th district, on the ground floor of the historical Dorotheum-Fünfhaus (previously a pawnshop). In this listed building dating back to the 1920s, the dining space was once an auction hall and has a minimalist, industrial-style atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York gallery – relaxed and distinctively stylish. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, comfortable designer chairs and artwork by the likes of Peter Jellitsch and Clemens Wolf underscore the tastefully chic interior. The spectacular rooftop terrace affords breathtaking views, making it an ideal s

Partners Stefan Doubek and Nora Pein offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The open kitchen is the beating heart of this restaurant and is the perfect stage for the chef-patron. Food is cooked using four fire sources, and every dish is crafted with meticulous precision and attention to detail, showcasing a distinctive identity with subtly integrated Japanese influences. Only the finest ingredients that the market has to offer are used. The dishes may appear simple at first glance, but they are the result of days or even months of preparation. They are entirely unembellished, focusing solely

The architecture is the first thing you notice! Located in the Stadtpark, the building has a futuristic feel. The interior is bright and airy, featuring clean lines and elegant modern design; you can look into the kitchen through the pass. The clever division of the space into different wings creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The exceptional politeness and utmost professionalism of the service team ensure that you feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Mraz & Sohn
Creative, Seasonal Cuisine · ★★ Michelin

A true institution on Vienna's fine-dining scene. Expect the unexpected: Markus Mraz and his son Lukas's menu is based on a surprise concept – only the ingredients are revealed in advance. The experience unfolds over 13 small, distinctive courses, far removed from the mainstream and typically centred on a single star ingredient, which forms the basis of the menu. A memorable example is the "kimchi börek", in which aromatic sika venison meets vibrant, tangy kimchi, elevated by fine shavings of Périgord truffle. The setting is chic, modern and relaxed. The clean, minimalist design immediately catches the eye, as do the striking brick arches overhead. Seated at attractive solid wood tables in a pleasantly relaxed setting, diners have a clear view into the open kitchen – and they can see just how dedicated Fabian Günzel and his team are! The pared-down interior is reflected in the numerous modern and creative courses of the set menu. The wonderfully succulent charcoal-grilled Atlantic turbot is an excellent example of the emphasis placed on premium ingredients – delicately aromatic and perfectly seasoned, it is served alongside lightly sautéed

Tapping into the region is the name of the game here. In the cosy setting of a traditional country inn, diners are served flavoursome dishes that celebrate local ingredients. Top-quality produce is prepared without fuss – the emphasis lies squarely on taste. There is a wide selection of vegetarian, meat and fish dishes, as well as the classics of this type of establishment. Highlights include salmon trout – pan-fried with white carrots and gnocchi, and Grammelknödel – a potato dumpling stuffed with cracklings and chilli, served with summer cabbage, Red Amposta onion and courgette. The exclusive Palais Coburg houses one of Vienna's premier dining destinations, a culinary hotspot for many years running. Executive chef Silvio Nickol and head chef Florian Daube present exceptionally creative cuisine featuring meticulously composed combinations of outstanding ingredients. Their distinctive style leaves a lasting impression – for example, in the wonderfully al dente white asparagus topped with crispy baby prawns and basil, or the rich, aromatic langoustine served with a shellfish-infused hollandaise and a citrus butter foam providing a delightful contrast.
