This successful, family-run business has had a new lease a life under the baton of chef Aitor Prieto, part of the third generation at the helm of this culinary institution and trained in renowned restaurants such as Culler de Pau (in O Grove). This welcoming eatery, located close to the Playa del Orzán, is hidden behind a large picture window that bathes the contemporary dining room in natural light, and where guests can enjoy attentive and informal service, with owner Alberto Prieto keeping a watchful eye on proceedings. Located closed to the emblematic artillery batteries that once protected the estuary, this restaurant on top of Monte de San Pedro will delight guests with its panoramic setting, with tables in the dining room offering views of both the city and the expanse of the ocean. It boasts several rooms for private events, lots of light, large bare tables, innovative tableware, and surprising culinary combinations, including impeccable cream sauces. In his own words, the cuisine of chef Luis Veira, a proud native of the city, “focuses the five senses firmly on the Atlantic”. This is reflected in a cons

This restaurant, located in the old O Burgo train station, is run by two Argentine brothers with Galician roots. They work with selected local meats, displayed like authentic treasures in their ageing chambers. There is also some fish (only available on request)!

Dishes worthy of note include the “salpicón de lubrigante” (lobster) and, among the desserts, the popular egg yolk soufflé, which needs to be ordered at the start of your meal to allow time to prepare it.

The cooking at this taberna is fun as well as delicious! And with this in mind, the duo of owner-chefs Iria Espinosa and Luis Veira have strived for what they describe as the offbeat face of gourmet cuisine. This bright space occupying the former café adjoining the Arbore da Veira restaurant reflects the more informal and casual dining option of this award-winning name, which features an à la carte of appetisers and main dishes suitable for all budgets (it also includes a section entitled “landscapes for sharing”), in addition to an affordable tasting menu that showcases several signature dish

Located in the heart of A Coruña’s old town, very close to the Plaza de María Pita and Los Cantones which showcase the city’s historical heritage, this restaurant (which translates as ‘ear of wheat’ in Galician, a play on the name of chef Koke Trigo (’trigo’ is the Spanish word for ‘wheat’) provides the backdrop for cuisine that highlights his full personality. In the intimate interior, featuring stone walls and a kitchen that opens out on to the dining room, the focus is on market-inspired cooking that is continually reinvented in line with fresh ingredients available daily, a fact reinforced

A restaurant with a restrained decor and a philosophy based on Omakase-style dining (hence the name) in the emblematic Plaza de María Pita of the city, where you’ll find nothing more than a sushi bar and a fish-aging cabinet. Here, Vigo-born chef Adrián Figueroa, a true expert when it comes to slicing techniques and the preparation of tuna, showcases his skills on a single tasting menu (to which you can also add extras such as eel, crayfish etc) that changes according to availability at the daily auction. Bookings need to be made via the restaurant’s website.
