Goldee’s Bar-B•Q

Barbecue, American · 必比登

Founded by a youthful and creative cohort, Goldee’s is the name on the lips of every barbecue aficionado seeking out great brisket (among other items) in the Fort Worth area. Open only a few days a week from late morning until afternoon, one must go when the getting is this good; and it’s absolutely worth the hours-long wait in the Texas sun. The Back Angus brisket, cooked low and slow using local post oak, is meltingly tender with a rich, clean flavor. Turkey is notably juicy, while the jalapeño-cheddar sausage delivers a satisfying snap and balanced spice with molten pockets of Tillamook che

French Contemporary · ★ Michelin

$$$$

With this glitzy, well-appointed hotspot, Chef Christophe De Lellis brings an impressive pedigree to Dallas, having led the kitchen at Vegas’s Restaurant Joël Robuchon for nearly a decade. The bistronomie-style menu of elevated simple plates is offered à la carte, though the prices are still nothing to sniff at. Diners looking to indulge will get their money’s worth, however: top-drawer ingredients, faultless technique and world-class sauces are evident throughout. Shareable portions like Dover sole with brown butter or veal “Cordon Bleu” (served with Robuchon’s signature butter-laden pommes p

Japanese, Sushi · ★ Michelin

$$$$

With just 10 counter seats, the greatest challenge is securing a reservation at this sushi restaurant within the renovated Continental Gin Building – but perseverance will be rewarded because this is the genuine article. The omakase contains around 14 pieces and follows the edomae tradition, so expect fish that gets steadily stronger in flavor as dinner progresses. You might start with Alaskan sockeye salmon, followed by Spanish tuna and delicious uni from Hokkaido and end with eel from Maine. The rice is also from Hokkaido and Chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi’s deft, practiced movements ensure each pie

Husband-and-wife owners David and Jennifer Uygur have built a beloved Bishop Arts destination, where David leads the kitchen and Jennifer welcomes guests with genuine warmth. Reservations are often in high demand, though a handful of seats are typically held for walk-ins. Chef Uygur’s cooking is rooted in Italian traditions and shaped by the availability of seasonal Texas produce. The menu shifts regularly, with house-made pastas and cured meats forming the backbone of the offering. Dishes favor clarity and comfort over excess, allowing quality ingredients and careful technique to take center

Smoke'N Ash BBQ

Barbecue, Ethiopian

Husband and wife Patrick and Fasicka Hicks started like many other barbecue spots with a trailer smoker and weekend pop-ups, but that's where most of the similarities end. This casual Arlington spot with booth and table seating and a welcoming ambience bills its barbecue as Tex-Ethiopian. There are some typical Texan classics, but it's their barbecue seared with awaze, an Ethiopian-spice sauce, that truly stands out. Sold by the half-pound, platters are the way to go if you want to sample more of the offerings like skillfully smoked brisket and tender pulled lamb. They have the classic sides l

nonna

Italian · 必比登

$$$

You could drive right past this place set within a collection of small businesses off a main highway in Highland Park but keep an eye out for the blind-covered windows emblazoned with "nonna" to avoid missing out. Inside, it's the picture of casual chic down to the last piece of modern art displayed on the exposed brick walls. As for the menu, it's dictated by the seasons and what's available, though the white clam pie from the wood-fired oven and the Maine lobster ravioli are always available (and good thing, too). Pasta is plentiful, with up to 10 different choices on offer, including spaghe

American · 必比登

Gemma is a charming spot from the husband-and-wife team of Chef Stephen Rogers and Allison Yoder. The couple met while working at Napa Valley's Press and returned to Rogers's home state to open this intimate spot in Dallas that highlights contemporary American cooking with a seasonal focus. The evening begins with a simple sounding but sinfully delicious warm raisin scone. Fried Castelvetrano olives mixed with fragrant Texas pecans are a delight, but it's cooking like the roasted heirloom carrots or the Idaho trout almondine that make a meal here memorable. Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen reflects owner Carol Nguyen’s desire to share the flavors of her homeland with Dallas. The welcoming Lower Greenville space features rustic wood accents and subtle nods to Vietnamese tradition, creating a lively, comfortable setting for groups and families alike. The menu draws inspiration from the street food of Hanoi, with a wide range of classic dishes. Generous plates like green papaya salad layered with herbs and house-made beef jerky, as well as hearty noodle bowls topped with chargrilled pork and crisp imperial rolls, highlight the kitchen’s fresh, balanced appro
