Meadowsweet
Modern British · ★ Michelin

A lovingly restored Georgian building is the setting for this charming restaurant. You enter via the back of the building, through an illuminated garden, and are then warmly welcomed into a beautiful dining room, where the lovely handmade tables have the menu and cutlery hidden in a drawer. The finest produce, be it lobster or quail, is delivered via a skilfully prepared tasting menu, where deep flavours come together perfectly and there's the odd playful touch, like dessert served across several dishes to share. Three restful bedrooms provide the perfect overnight escape.

Morston Hall
Modern British · ★ Michelin

Great produce has long been the bedrock of Morston Hall's success. Whether picked from the kitchen garden, foraged from nearby beaches or sourced from the best suppliers across the UK, the ingredients are superb, and are allowed to shine in dishes based around classical flavour combinations. The conservatory looking out over the garden is the place to sit in the summer months, while those staying the night can choose from contemporary country house bedrooms or more luxurious garden rooms.

The Grain Store
Modern Cuisine

Tucked away on the North Norfolk coast, The Grain Store forms part of The Maltings hotel – a collection of former brick and flint barns that have now been converted into bedrooms and this rustic restaurant. The lunchtime menu is simple and concise, while dinner offers a wide selection of small and large plates, plus those designed for sharing – such as lamb tagine or a Norfolk fish platter, to which you can add some local oysters. Each dish comes with clean, honest flavours and the wine list is keenly priced – head over to their small shop to take a bottle home with you.
