In this pretty little restaurant you can savour the ambitious classic and regional cuisine rustled up by your dedicated host and head chef Markus Pape. The staff gladly recommend wines from the nearby Disibodenberg estate to pair with dishes such as "Soonwald venison served two ways – loin and leg, sea buckthorn, celeriac, root vegetables, radicchio, sauce grand veneur". The various buildings of the Meisenheimer Hof make for an attractive mix of the historical and modern – in the restaurant as well as in the hotel's themed guestrooms. In summer, the terrace between the buildings is delightful.

Set in a former ferry house dating back to 1517, this establishment has been run by Wigbert Weck since 2007 and has a loyal following of regulars. The dishes created by the chef-patron are skillfully prepared from fresh ingredients with no unnecessary embellishments, and they are delicious! Tip: the surprise menu (only for the whole table). Complete with a glass-fronted wine refrigerator full of regional wines, the interior has the feel of a modern wine bar. Outside, the lovely terrace overlooks the Nahe River, which is just across the road. Two holiday flats can be booked for overnight stays.

This elegant modern restaurant is accommodated in a charming Baroque mansion within the historical Schlosspark. In an airy, high-ceilinged space, diners are served classic cuisine with regional and Mediterranean sides, for you to pick à la carte or as a set menu. The proprietor himself runs the kitchen, using good-quality ingredients to cook up tasty dishes, while the lady of the house takes care of diners in a cordial manner. On hot summer days, make a beeline for the marvellous terrace.

Run by the same family for four generations, Kaiserhof has a surprisingly chic and fresh interior behind its deceptively traditional façade. The tastefully designed dining space is accessed via the open kitchen – diners can also watch the chefs at work. The concept here is a seasonally orientated "Culinary Journey" in six courses – for which you should allow plenty of time.
