Le Due Colombe boasts a picturesque setting in a charming village in the heart of the Franciacorta region. The main dining room, housed in an old hay barn, boasts stone walls, a ceiling with wooden beams and a parquet floor, all of which add to the intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The fine cuisine celebrated here includes historic dishes that have become classic favourites and which can be chosen from the three tasting menus. A true gourmet agriturismo, Il Colmetto changes its menu almost week by week in line with the changing seasons. Full of flavour, the ingredients here (many of which are produced on the property, while others are sourced locally) are cooked with precision, avoiding overly fussy and complicated techniques. Two tasting menus are served here (one classic in style, the other more creative), showcasing chef Alberto Gipponi’s culinary skills to the full – one of the most interesting options is the guinea fowl with lemon and gentian, which has a perfect balance of softness and delicate

The name of this restaurant alludes both to the chef’s origins in Isea (“radici” translates as “roots”) and his passion for vegetables, which make a strong appearance in his dishes. He offers three tasting menus, one dedicated to fish from the lake, a second which is more creative, and a third focusing on seasonal vegetables, with the option of choosing individual courses from each menu à la carte style. Whatever you choose, be prepared for complex, elaborate and surprising cuisine!

This restaurant housed in a country house dating from the 19C offers elegant period dining rooms and a menu featuring Mediterranean-style meat and fish dishes.

The decor at this restaurant features bottles of wine on the walls (there are around 700 labels on the wine list, with an unsurprising focus on sparkling wines from the local Franciacorta region), while the menu celebrates some of Italy’s best produce, as well as ingredients from further afield, with a focus on Mediterranean flavours. There’s also an excellent cheese selection which will delight cheese-lovers.
