Compact, intimate and colourful, this pleasant bistro set in a picturesque cobbled lane in the old town offers a relaxed alternative to the Schwarzer Adler restaurant. You immediately get a sense that the team supporting chef-patron Johannes Nuding enjoy their work! At lunchtime, there is a two- or three-course set menu with a choice of dishes; from 5pm an interesting selection of simple options is served, ranging from onion soup to quiche and Thai curry to a stove-top fish dish or baked guinea fowl. Diners come here to enjoy the friendly and vibrant atmosphere and delicious food. In the evening, you can compose your own seven-course set menu from the featured dishes or order à la carte. Alternatively, there is a surprise menu comprising three to five courses as well as a set menu of Japanese cuisine. At lunchtime, they serve a reasonably priced set menu that changes on a daily basis, the "weekly gourmet set menu" and a range of à la carte classics such as beef carpaccio, Kalbsrahmbeuschel (calf lights ragout) or Wiener schnitzel, as well as modern fare such as sea bass with saffron foam.
