Z'SOM

Modern Cuisine, South American · ★ Michelin

The name "Z'SOM" (meaning "together") conjures up a sense of community and culinary delight in a sociable and relaxed atmosphere. Your friendly hosts Judith Lergetporer and Diego Briones really put their heart and soul into this place. While she presides over the restaurant floor, welcoming guests with warmth and charm, he is at work in the open kitchen, skilfully incorporating his Chilean roots and international experience into original, flavourful and sophisticated dishes. Think premium-quality wild prawns with Amarillo chilli, succulent pigeon à la royale or delicious lavender ice cream inf

Carefully selected ingredients are given space for their aromas to unfold fully. The regularly changing seven-course set menu features memorable creations such as tortelloni with Swiss chard, sea urchin bisque, hoshigaki and XO sauce, or celery with dulce de leche, coffee and pickled quince – each course enhanced by the astutely curated wine pairings courtesy of maître d' and sommelier Max Populorum a

The clean, minimalist design immediately catches the eye, as do the striking brick arches overhead. Seated at attractive solid wood tables in a pleasantly relaxed setting, diners have a clear view into the open kitchen – and they can see just how dedicated Fabian Günzel and his team are! The pared-down interior is reflected in the numerous modern and creative courses of the set menu. The wonderfully succulent charcoal-grilled Atlantic turbot is an excellent example of the emphasis placed on premium ingredients – delicately aromatic and perfectly seasoned, it is served alongside lightly sautéed

The exclusive Palais Coburg houses one of Vienna's premier dining destinations, a culinary hotspot for many years running. Executive chef Silvio Nickol and head chef Florian Daube present exceptionally creative cuisine featuring meticulously composed combinations of outstanding ingredients. Their distinctive style leaves a lasting impression – for example, in the wonderfully al dente white asparagus topped with crispy baby prawns and basil, or the rich, aromatic langoustine served with a shellfish-infused hollandaise and a citrus butter foam providing a delightful contrast. TIAN

Vegetarian, Creative · ★ Michelin

This beacon of vegetarian gourmet cuisine proposes a set menu with six or eight courses that can also be vegan. Signature dishes are available for expansion. The depth of flavour in the dishes such as "chioggia, radish, juneberry" or "king oyster mushroom, pumpkin, elderflower" is down to the technical prowess of the chef duo Paul Ivić and Florian Burtscher, as well as the fantastic quality of the ingredients, which are seasonal and locally sourced. There's a great selection of organic wines – alternatively, opt for one of the non-alcoholic beverage accompaniments. The waitstaff are warm and p

Konstantin Filippou

Modern Cuisine, Creative · ★★ Michelin

In Konstantin Filippou's elaborate tasting menu, the spotlight is firmly on fish and seafood, with meat largely absent or relegated to a supporting role. One standout dish is the delicate, mousse-like brandade of Amur carp and potato, served on a bed of al dente, slightly tart white asparagus, finished with fragrant toasted almond pieces and almond purée, plus a dollop of caviar. His strikingly modern seven- to nine-course set menu showcases top-quality ingredients from international markets.
