Originally a bakery and café, this family-run establishment has evolved into a restaurant serving flavoursome, meticulously prepared dishes that take their cue from the changing seasons. As well as à la carte options, there is a choice of set menus. The upscale setting has a classic aesthetic. Attentive service comes courtesy of a well-organised and adept front-of-house team. This family-run business is now in its fourth generation. Behind a smart half-timbered façade, diners can choose from seasonal cuisine with some international influences and classics with a connection to the region. There are guestrooms done out in a modern Black Forest style. If you fancy a little excursion, the monastery complex and brewery are both within easy walking distance.

Take a seat in the elegant yet cosy, country-style interior – or, in summer, out on the beautiful garden terrace – and choose from a seasonal menu. Vegetarians are also catered for. For overnight guests there are cosy contemporary guestrooms.
