Rührberger Hof
Classic Cuisine · 必比登
€€
The historical Rührberger Hof estate, which is home to this long-established family business, has been around since 1902. The fact that it was once used for farming is no longer apparent today. The pleasingly modern interior is an attractive setting in which to savour the excellent cuisine of brothers Christoph und Felix Düster. This is based on classical foundations and takes its cue from the region and the seasons. At lunchtime, the reasonably priced set menu of the day is very popular. There are also well-kept contemporary-style guestrooms.

Villa Feer
International, Seasonal Cuisine
€€
Owner Kathrin Bucher has been running this restaurant in an attractive old villa near Lörrach exhibition centre since 2012. Dine in the cosy, bright interior or, in summer, out on the wonderful terrace. They serve lunch only: until 3pm you can order the set menu or from a small menu compiled from favourite dishes of the last decade. After that, there are desserts and ice creams/sorbets until 5pm.

Inzlinger Wasserschloss
Classic Cuisine
€€€
With over 500 years of history to its name, plus a stylish interior, this moated castle near the Swiss border has for years been synonymous with classic French cuisine made from top-notch produce. You can dine à la carte or choose the set menu – there is also a vegetarian or vegan option. Accompany your food with one of the great wine recommendations. Our tip: The guesthouse 150m away has terrific rooms for overnight stays.

Krone
Farm to table, Country cooking
€€
Krone has been properly invested in: from the façade to the hotel rooms, everything is chic and high quality, the restaurant is modern and sleek. The food is very good, with select produce turned into aromatic dishes with plenty of flavour. At lunchtime, a smaller range of interesting options. If you are staying longer, Basel and Alsace are very close by.
