This chef’s philosophy focuses on seasonal ingredients, which he transforms into Mediterranean and Swiss dishes with an equal emphasis on meat and fish, including highlights such as the delicious scallop tartare with sesame oil, nasturtiums and porcini mushroom puff. This welcoming restaurant overlooking the lake in the charming village of Vico Morcote serves simple cuisine with a focus on local ingredients, many of which (biodynamic wines, vegetables, olive oil etc) come from the restaurant’s own farm. It’s fantastic to be able to enjoy such fresh produce at reasonable prices – make sure you try the open ravioli with a rabbit ragu, Gotthard cheese fondue and pepper.
