Daniele and Elisa are a couple of young restaurateurs who are familiar to us from their time at Blumenstube in Sant'Orsola. Having moved on, they have now opened their own restaurant in Pergine, where both the decor and the cuisine are contemporary-Alpine in style. As in currently in vogue, their dishes are showcased on three tasting menus (short, medium and long) from which dishes can also be chosen à la carte style. All the recipes have a creative feel, demonstrating the chef’s playful approach to his contemporary ingredients.

Opened by three brothers (Augurio is the family name), this restaurant in the city centre successfully combines the traditional and the modern in both its cuisine and its decor. The dining room, with an open-view kitchen on the ground floor, boasts an old, vaulted ceiling, while its wood furniture adds a contemporary look. The menu features local and Italian dishes reinterpreted with flavour and style. Lighter options are available at lunchtime; the grande carte needs to be ordered ahead of time.

This small, intimate restaurant next to the elegant Palazzo Roccabruna in the historic centre is slightly off the beaten track despite its central location. The outdoor terrace at this restaurant overlooks a pleasant pedestrian piazza in the historic centre, while the welcoming dining rooms are decorated in a style typical of the Trentino. The cuisine – reliable, seasonal and full of flavour – is traditionally Italian, yet with a contemporary touch. The menu also features a few regional options as well as the occasional fish dish. The quail stuffed with acacia honey, pumpkin purée and stewed radicchio is superb.

The menu features a concise selection of carefully thought-out dishes, with starters, first and main courses (meat, fish or vegetarian) that are elegant, well prepared and contemporary in style.
