In business since 1970, San Domenico is one of the flag-bearers of classic Italian dining. In the historic centre of Imola, inside you will find a succession of elegant rooms and an atmosphere that seems straight out of an English club. The menu alternates classic dishes accumulated over many years of activity with some more modern inventions from chef Massimiliano Mascia. An extraordinary wine list features more than two thousand labels.

Situated in a village inland, this restaurant serves some of the best fish dishes in Romagna. The focus here is on classic recipes from the Adriatic with no unnecessary frills or innovations, all prepared using the freshest fish and including raw fish dishes, fried options, spaghetti with clams and fish barbecued over a wood fire.

This building, home to the San Bartolo Knights Templar “hospital” until the 13C, now houses an attractive restaurant which continues this old tradition of hospitality. Here, a friendly dining room with a pleasantly rustic yet elegant feel serves as a backdrop for generous, substantial cuisine with a hint of creativity. An outdoor space shaded by a vine-planted pergola completes the picture.

Situated at the foot of the fortress in the historic centre of Castrocaro, this restaurant has an interesting young chef at the helm, Andrea Giacchini. The cuisine often (but not always) has a local influence and demonstrates remarkable technical expertise that is neither overly ostentatious nor an end in itself, but rather a way of skilfully showcasing the top-quality ingredients used.

Situated in a small garden in the historic centre, this modern bistro has a light, airy feel thanks to its large windows and its outdoor tables perfect for alfresco dining in summer. The menu features contemporary-style, personalised meat and fish dishes which are full of flavour, while at lunchtime, the lighter “Pranzetto” menu is a good option. The restaurant also offers an excellent selection of cocktails for an evening aperitif, plus an impressive choice of digestifs to enjoy after your dinner.

Located on the outskirts of Forlì’s charming historic centre, this simple, modern yet attractive restaurant serves eclectic and varied cuisine. More traditional fare on offer includes an excellent selection of hams and grilled meats, as well as delicious tagliatelle al ragù, while the menu also features a few more creative options including a few fish dishes.
