This gem of a restaurant brimming with traditional Bavarian charm serves exceptional food in an inviting rustic setting. It is understandably popular, so be sure to book well in advance! Andreas and Michaela Hager form a harmonious team and this is clearly reflected in the delicious dishes they craft. Their short menu showcases superb local ingredients in classic dishes such as liver dumpling soup, Tafelspitz (prime boiled beef) with horseradish or salmon trout fillet with a mustard sauce. The 3-course menu is also interesting. Service comes courtesy of a friendly front-of-house team.

This converted forester's lodge has an attractive, upscale interior that combines modern style and regional touches. The menu features seasonal dishes made with select ingredients. While only a small selection of simpler dishes is served at lunchtime, things take a more ambitious turn in the evening. There is also a self-service beer garden.
