Marco Müller’s "Inspiration" tasting menu unfolds as a culinary journey, shaped by a clear personal style and a skilfully constructed narrative arc. The service team explains the ideas behind the dishes in a pleasingly relaxed and informal manner, and is always happy to answer questions. The kitchen works with remarkable precision, yet the cooking retains a sense of effortlessness and balance. With only a few components, the dishes seem minimalist, but are packed with details that lend them exceptional depth. One standout dish is the tender, flawlessly cooked Oldenburg Wagyu with an umami-rich

Surprised to find MICHELIN-starred cuisine in this casual, laid-back restaurant with its "shabby chic" style? Granted, the small space – once home to a kebab shop – does look a little unkempt: in the dimly lit and very simple interior, the tables (without tablecloths) are tightly packed, and the individual furnishing details include vintage elements, some of which date back to the former East Germany. In the open kitchen, Andreas Saul shows remarkable passion, precision, originality and creativity. His cooking, which is regional, proves to be pretty innovative. For instance, his "carrot charcu

As you enter the exclusive Hotel Adlon Kempinski, the lobby sets the tone for the refined feel of the restaurant on the first floor. With a bit of luck, you will get a table with a view of the Brandenburg Gate. The sophisticated, classically opulent interior meets its match in the sophisticated cuisine of Jonas Zörner, who clinched his first MICHELIN star at GOLVET. His modern, creative style of cooking is perfectly in contrast with the Adlon's classic heritage, yet still preserves a classic French foundation. Prime examples of his dishes include "black hake, bouillabaisse, North Sea brown shr

It doesn't get much more quintessentially Berlin than this trendy restaurant! Finding your way through the backyard of The Westin Grand hotel to ring the bell at the unassuming-looking door is an adventure in itself! After being welcomed at the bar (perfect for an aperitif or after-dinner drink), climb the old stairs up to the first floor to get to the lively restaurant, which was once a fashionable nightclub. In an industrial-chic setting, diners can savour a vegetarian set menu comprising five to seven courses, with dishes bearing names such as "carrot, chard, sea buckthorn" or "oyster mushr

A real oasis of calm in the middle of Berlin, right on busy Potsdamer Platz! Up here on the fifth floor of The Mandala Hotel, diners can sit on the pleasant little terrace amid the chestnut trees and fountain – a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! And if you eat inside the chic, light and airy rooftop garden restaurant, you almost feel as if you are outdoors thanks to the wraparound glass windows. Beautiful bamboo plants are a nod to Asia. In addition to the location, Facil boasts top-notch cuisine by Michael Kempf (culinary director) and Joachim Gerner (head chef). For instanc

This is not your average, run-of-the-mill restaurant – the concept is relaxed and professional in equal measure. It is, in a sense, the younger sibling of ernst, Dylan Watson-Brawn and Spencer Christenson's restaurant. Its interior is minimalist and sleek, the atmosphere youthful and laid-back. Service, courtesy of an exceptionally friendly international team, runs like clockwork. The kitchen, which is visible behind the counter, sends out creations that blend French and Japanese influences: delicate, refined and intensely flavourful dishes such as "Rose shrimp, nori, yuzu" or "Grilled scallop

Set in a lovely building on a corner plot in the Prenzlauer Berg district, this restaurant has a clean-lined, modern look and a trio of industry professionals with a proven track record at the helm. Owner Silvio Pfeufer (formerly head chef at einsunternull) is in charge of the kitchen, co-owner and maître d' Janine Woltaire heads up the friendly service team – and here she has an experienced sommelier at her side in Michael Stiel – the pair were colleagues at Horváth, another Berlin restaurant. The two set menus (one of which is vegetarian) each comprise five or six courses. Alternatively, you

This place has evolved from a tapas and wine bar into a "casual fine dining" restaurant. The lovely atmosphere is really neighbourly, almost intimate – you feel welcome right off the bat! This is down to both the appealing bistro setting and the cordial and professional proprietor and sommelier Fabian Fischer. He has a pleasingly personal touch in his dealings with diners and obvious enthusiasm when it comes to recommending the most suitable wine. The list includes over 300 labels, from Germany, Austria and France – with a particular penchant for Riesling. Steven Zeidler is in charge of the ki
