Take in views over breathtaking countryside, either from the spacious terrace, which evokes a Mediterranean ambience with the scent of lavender, or from the restaurant itself, which is replete with country house charm. The seasons are reflected not only in the landscape but also on your plate. Chef Sebastiaan Pals puts his ingredients centre stage, and he likes to incorporate herbs from his own garden. His cuisine exudes French refinement, embraces fresh, contemporary ideas and delivers generous, satisfying dishes. For example, he poaches trout fillet in a tangy marinade and tops it with a lay

Ledeboer has been housed in a stately former bank building since 1994, and its elegant industrial decor provides the perfect backdrop for its fine dining concept. The chef champions a modern style of cooking distinguished by meticulous presentation, and relishes working with premium ingredients. For instance, he pan-fries turbot in butter to a succulent finish then tops it with Limburg pork ham and complements it with a Jerusalem artichoke cream, tarragon espuma and a delicate fennel salad. Should time not allow for the full set menu (also available in a vegetarian version), the dishes can be

On one side is Next wine bar, which is a stylish and trendy spot in which to sample vinologist Corine Vink's latest finds, served with freshly prepared bar snacks. Then there is the elegant restaurant with its chic decor, where Chiel de Groot incorporates his creative ideas into a surprise menu and beautifully presented plates of food. He likes to use produce from his own vegetable garden to bring his creations to life. Hoog Holten steals your heart before you have even taken your seat. The drive to this romantic spot introduces you to the splendour of the Salland countryside.
