Bar, wine shop, restaurant, and hotel: Gostilna Vovko is a historic family-run establishment that has been welcoming guests with warmth since 1977. The interiors, furnished in traditional style and centred around a wood-burning stove, create an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen, rooted in the tradition of the Dolenjska region, follows the rhythm of the seasons and celebrates local ingredients, many of them handmade, including pasta, štruklji and svaljki. The local trout is offered as a refined tartare with horseradish, trout caviar and pumpkin seed oil mayonnaise, while among the m

The cuisine is regional and traditional, featuring carefully prepared dishes and fresh vegetables sourced from the restaurant’s organic kitchen garden. Both the à la carte and the tasting menus follow the seasons. To round off your visit in truly aristocratic sty

Worth trying, for example, is the Black Slavonian pig accompanied by carrot variations or the stuffed pasta dishes, which are always creative and well-executed. The menu is constantly evolving, but there are always interesting options to satisfy different tastes. The atmosphere is intimate and informal, enhanc

It is the last few kilometres of road, through forests and gently rolling green hills, that best prepare one for a gastronomic visit to this bucolic and welcoming restaurant, rooted in a very long family tradition. It is said that the house has belonged to the Repovž family for over 500 years, with the restaurant itself dating back some three centuries. Many generations have followed one another, but the current stewardship has succeeded in giving the establishment a well-defined identity. Kitchen and dining room work in harmony, offering tasting menus of varying length that celebrate local in
