Antica Trattoria Cattivelli remains a safe haven for those who want to savour authentic Piacenza cuisine. Traditional aromas fill the dining room, inviting guests to taste dishes that tell local stories: pisarei e fasò, , soft pasta smothered in rich sauce, and suckling pork fillet, glazed with honey and mustard, which releases a perfect balance of sweet and spicy notes. Authentic flavours that alone are worth the trip!

A pleasant (and excellent) provincial restaurant with a modern feel and a traditional brick-vaulted ceiling, where owner-chef Samuele Miglioli pays tribute to local traditions in his cuisine (don’t miss the marubini pasta in three broths and the famous pumpkin tortelli). The dishes here focus on seasonal ingredients which are carefully transformed into generous dishes full of flavour, as demonstrated by the rice timbale served on a delicious beef ragù and topped with beef carpaccio. There’s also an excellent selection of wines, with a particular focus on sparkling wines.

Having successfully been in business for over 40 years, this restaurant continues to shine for its top-quality traditional cuisine, priding itself, as it has always done, on its love for local specialities. Goose dishes take centre stage on the menu (the area is famous for its goose), alongside an excellent selection of traditional boiled meats all of which are sourced locally. There’s also a good choice of wine, which is skilfully displayed and served from a trolley in the dining room from which wines are served by the glass.
