阿斯科特酒店

This old monastery in Moirago, overlooking the Naviglio Pavese canal, was founded in 1250 and converted into an inn as early as 1478. Centuries may have passed, but the tradition of hospitality continues in the building’s enclosed painted portico, as well as in its two warm and atmospheric dining rooms. The chef’s Puglian origins explain the abundant use of vegetables and raw fish dishes, while in winter the cuisine takes on a more northern Italian flavour. Good selection of wines by the glass.

This fascinating restaurant occupying an old house renovated in modern style comes as a surprise given its location in a small village deep in the countryside. Enjoy traditional cuisine reinterpreted in a playful and original way in the well-tended garden, where six exclusive tables provide the perfect setting for an intimate and romantic alfresco dinner.

A splendid example of a country trattoria, which has been delighting its guests with typical dishes from Lombardy for over a century. Meals are served either in the attractive vintage-style dining room or, in fine weather, outdoors under the Virginia creeper and mature wisteria. Truly enchanting!

This skilfully restored 18C farmhouse has all the authentic charm of the Milanese lowland region, with each corner telling a story, from the intimate lounges to the delightful room with a large stone fireplace. There’s also a bright, welcoming veranda-style space which is perfect at any time of year. The menu features an array of meat and fish dishes, including dishes that celebrate Mediterranean cuisine and Milanese traditions alike. The well-stocked wine cellar (which can be visited) will delight wine-enthusiasts thanks to its excellent selection of interesting labels.

An authentic Milanese trattoria in operation since the late 17th century as a post station, while the apartment buildings of Gratosoglio rose up all around it in the 1960s, the interiors still preserve their historic charm. The cuisine fortunately remains faithful to the spirit of the place, offering some Milanese classics, such as mondeghili (meatballs), risotto alla milanese (with or without ossobuco), and the “elephant ear” cutlet.
