Brindillas
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin
$$$
Situated in an uninteresting and not particularly attractive area to the south of Mendoza (Vistalba, in the department of Luján de Cuyo), Brindillas is one of those intimate settings with excellent service that will win over food-lovers. Through dishes such as roasted aubergines with a Romesco sauce and salted anchovies, succulent grilled veal with ground pepper, sweet potato and chard, and caramelised peach with amaretto, a light mascarpone foam and home-made almond ice-cream, chef Mariano Gallego, who has worked with famous Spanish chef Carme Ruscalleda and was at the helm in one of her rest

Zonda Cocina de Paisaje
Traditional Cuisine, Creative · ★ Michelin
$$$$
Transplanting raw ingredients from the field to the plate takes on added value when they are grown on your farm, bringing added personality to dishes and enhancing the culinary narrative when it comes to building recipes. The Lagarde winery in Luján de Cuyo is famous for the excellent quality of its wines (DOC Malbec) and for the fact that it has its own organic fruit and vegetable gardens (tomatoes, lettuce, sweet peppers, chard, pomegranates, aromatic herbs etc), in addition to olives and other crops that it supplies to the restaurant. At Zonda Cocina de Paisaje, the goal is to pay homage to

Riccitelli Bistró
Seasonal Cuisine, Innovative · ★ Michelin

At the Riccitelli Bistró, they have gone one step further to bring together fine cuisine, an appreciation of wine, and sustainability. The Matias Riccitelli Wines bodega in Luján de Cuyo has created this restaurant, built out of remodelled containers and “planted” amid old vineyards, to enhance its wine experience. Chef Juan Ventureyra’s cuisine, which can be sampled in an informal dining room or on the lower terrace, explores Mendoza’s culinary roots on two menus (Mendoza and Argentina, both of which include a visit to the winery) with a strong focus on native, locally sourced produce and ing

La VidA
Contemporary
$$$$
La VidA is part of the Susana Balbo Winemaker's House & Spa Suites, a small luxury hotel in Chacras de Coria, a small town 13 km (8 miles) from Mendoza, where everything revolves around wine. After the approach along a tree-lined track, the first thing to strike you here is the highly attentive service; you are met at the door and accompanied to the bar, where the experience begins with a welcome cocktail. In the restaurant’s contemporary-style dining room, with its glass-fronted kitchen and exposed beams which add a certain character, you find a single tasting menu designed by chef Flavia Ama

Assemblage Maison Alta Vista
French, Grills
$$$$
The integration of a French company into a Mendoza winery such as Alta Vista is clearly evident in its working philosophy, in the development of the estate’s wines, as well as in the cuisine on offer at the estate’s Assemblage gastronomic restaurant, which is accessed by a beautiful olive tree-lined track. Guest are immediately treated as part of the family here, with introductions to the restaurant team and its two contrasting spaces – one dedicated to more creative dishes, the other (we are in Argentina, after all!) to the fire and parrilla grill used to cook delicious cuts of meat. Fogón Cocina de Viñedo
Meats and Grills

Here, at the Lagarde winery in Luján de Cuyo, half an hour from Mendoza, there’s a total commitment on local cuisine to complement the wine experience. Between this restaurant and Zonda, which could be described as its elder sibling, there is a strong emphasis on history, the connection with the local area, and the setting in this stunning natural paradise. Access to Fogón is via the winery’s boutique, where guests can also enjoy a tasting of food as well as wine. In the dining room, with its high ceilings and a kitchen visible at one end, you can choose between two tasting menus, both with wi

Martino Wines
Modern Cuisine

You may be in a winery, but what draws your attention here is the fact that you’re made to feel at home! This attractive restaurant, occupying a separate conservatory-style building with a terrace and overlooking the surrounding garden through large picture windows, is enthusiastically run by chef Javier Quinteros. What's on the menu? This ambitious cuisine draws inspiration from around the world (Italy, France, Japan) and offers extremely colourful seasonal dishes that aim to win diners over with their honesty. The menu, which demonstrates a special desire to balance flavours and seasonings,

Farm to table

The concept of ‘country cooking’ is anything but trivial! It is, perhaps, a little surprising to find two brothers and wine experts Héctor and Pablo Durigutti at the helm, both of whom had the clear idea of focusing their efforts on fine dining as the perfect complement to their unique microcosmos at Finca Victoria, a family-run winery with two charming guest houses. The restaurant itself, located just a few metres from the winery’s HQ and totally surrounded by vineyards, is set in an elegant glass cube with a thatched roof and takes its name from the different types of soil found on the prope
