A small, well-kept village in the shadow of the ‘Ayrshire Alps’ is the setting for this whitewashed pub with a traditional aesthetic and a cosy, homely feel. The extensive menu includes some global influences infused into the pubby favourites – such as the tom yum pork scratchings – and there's an underlying generosity to both the portions and the flavours. Every dish comes with a wine or cocktail recommendation from the well-priced list, and the warm, welcoming team show a real desire to please.
