Rosmarin
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Following its relocation within Lenzburg, Rosmarin entices diners with a cool concept: The modern setting allows for up to 12 guests to sit at a counter right by the open kitchen, where chef-patron Philipp Audolensky prepares a creative surprise menu comprising five to seven courses (vegetarian or vegan options are available by prior arrangement). Appetisers and pastries are prepared by Céline Huber. The tartare of premium Bremgarten salmon trout, enhanced with finely chopped kimchi for juiciness and a gentle spicy kick, and finished with a delicate, intensely aromatic chive mayonnaise, is a f

The trip out here into the countryside is definitely worth it! Clad in Swiss hardwood, the building housing this restaurant stands directly adjacent to a recreational area and close to the Reuss River. Chef Manuel Steigmeier presents bold, sophisticated dishes that are prepared with remarkable precision and distilled to their essence. Guided by the philosophy "Locally rooted, globally inspired", his set menu, which is based on outstanding ingredients, comprises modern interpretations of classics (eg "cappelletti, tomato, cheese, celery") and original creations such as "kohlrabi, wasabi, ginger

Bacchus Bistro & Genussmanufaktur

You'll feel right at home here and that is down to the pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and excellent, fresh cuisine cooked up by Werner Tobler. The set menu, "La Table chez Bacchus", comprises four to six courses; the small à la carte selection includes dishes such as roasted pike-perch with pine nuts, ratatouille and white tomato butter. At lunchtime, there is also the option of a two- to four-course set menu. The setting is tasteful and upscale, with decorative touches in the form of bookshelves and a large mural; floor-to-ceiling windows allow plenty of light to flood in. Tip: You can

Linde
Country cooking, Farm to table · 必比登

The secret of Linde's success is a formula of classic Swiss cuisine made from good ingredients coupled with reasonable prices. A lively atmosphere reigns in this attractive, well-run place with its various dining spaces, large bar area and glassed-in kitchen. Steak tartare and Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (veal) are among the permanent fixtures on the menu. For lunch, the offer is somewhat reduced. The wonderful terrace comes into its own in summer, and there are well-kept guestrooms too.

Ochsen

Located just metres from the monastery, the venerable Ochsen dates back to 1596. In its current iteration with an avant-garde look, it is part of the three-building Hotel Caspar, which has stylishly designed guestrooms. In the open kitchen, regional ingredients go into modern and creative cooking – interesting cuisine that is "close to nature", with fire, aromatic woods, smoked and grilled dishes play a central role.

Where the old Ochsen inn once stood, the new OX'n stands today with its eye-catching modern design – all the glass gives the place an airy feel and a pleasing sense of transparency. The overall atmosphere is trendy yet inviting. In good weather, the terrace beckons. Friendly service. A surprise menu is served Wed-Sat evenings, and there is an additional à la carte selection Wed-Thu. At lunchtime, a simplified version of the evening surprise menu is available. Alternatively, you could opt for the set menu that changes every week, or something from the à la carte selection. Featuring ingredients

Chez Be
Mediterranean Cuisine, Farm to table
€€
The dedication of the experienced couple at the helm, Romy and Beat Amrein, is palpable. Tasty Mediterranean and French dishes are Beat's speciality – this is pleasant, straightforward cuisine. Romy is in charge front of house, serving guests in her natural and cordial manner. It is worth perusing the wine list, which reveals a penchant for French and Swiss picks. The lunch menu is shorter. The charming modern bistro-style interior with its open kitchen and the terrace giving onto the little square (Mühleplatz) are both lovely places to sit and eat.

Pinte

At this exceedingly well-run establishment dating from the 19C, you have the option of dining in either a snug tavern or an elegant restaurant. The shady terrace to the rear of the building is delightful in summer! Adept service comes courtesy of a friendly and laid-back front-of-house team. The cuisine emphasises regional and seasonal elements. Among the menu classics, the Wiener schnitzel clearly stands out. In the evening, order à la carte or opt for a six-course set menu. Lunchtime options are more limited and budget-friendly.
