Opened in 2023, this cosy bistro in a quiet village by the sea sports a rustic yet refreshingly modern interior. A zero-waste ethos and locally sourced ingredients set the scene of the French menu which demonstrates strong Asian influences and changes frequently. This husband-and-wife team have been serving seafood dishes by the provincial highway for over 30 years. The freshest catch from Aodi and Keelung ports fills the live fish tanks and display shelves at the entrance. The must-try oil-braised squid boasts smoky wok hei, seafood umami and the pungency of chilli and garlic. The sautéed seaweed with shredded pork and garlic delivers a toothsome yet silky texture, as well as subtle briny umami.
