In a bright and modern conservatory-like setting, Andreas Krainer serves up delicious Austrian dishes made with in-season local produce. Some highlights on the menu include the house goulash, Pöllau beef steaks and Mürztal fish hash, along with traditional Austrian desserts. In addition to the Wirtshaus offering, there is also a fine dining restaurant experience in the evening. And it is certainly worth calling by the cake buffet in the café. A restaurant where you feel right at home, thanks to the cosy atmosphere, cordial service, and the food that is straight-up delicious! This is traditional, home-style cuisine – think Austrian classics such as Wiener schnitzel, Backhendl (breaded fried chicken) and Tafelspitz (boiled beef), as well as venison Beuscherl (lights) and freshwater fish from the region. Those who prefer something a little more elevated can opt for a surprise menu (three to five courses) in the evening, subject to advance booking. They also have seven cosy guestrooms.
