Andrea Aprea

Italian Contemporary, Creative · ★★ Michelin

Located on the top floor, with lift, of the Luigi Rovati Foundation, in a magnificent historic building renovated according to certified sustainability criteria and which also houses a very refined Art Museum, chef patron Andrea Aprea crowns the dream of a restaurant of his own: a space of great scenic impact, totally projected towards the open kitchen, with the walls of the central room covered in bucchero (the characteristic black ceramic used by the Etruscans to make their vases). It is here that you can admire the chef and his brigade intent on preparing the dishes of the three tasting men

When you walk through the door, it's like stepping into a world suspended between philosophy and taste. This restaurant, the first in Italy to have introduced vegetarian and natural dishes to fine dining, conveys a message in every single detail: respect, awareness and harmony. Today, under the leadership of young chefs Sauro Ricci and Raffaele Minghini, Pietro Leemann's legacy translates into dishes that resemble works of art, evocative even in their names: Col favore della luna (With the favour of the moon), Ombelico del mondo (Navel of the world), La rosa che non colsi (The rose I did not p

Creative, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

Carved from a former textile warehouse, the restaurant presents itself today as a multifunctional space of contemporary design in a semi-central district of the city. On the ground floor, bistrot and cocktail bar sit comfortably side by side, while a few steps up leads to a gourmet dining room of just 12 covers, dramatically suspended at the heart of the space: six seats are arranged at the counter, affording a close view of the kitchen at work. Here, a distinctly experimental offering takes shape, one that nonetheless sets out from a rigorous selection of quality produce. There are three tast

Within the Mandarin Oriental, a symbol of Milanese luxury hospitality, Antonio Guida’s kitchen elegantly interprets the city’s cosmopolitan taste. Three tasting menus are offered: one dedicated to the chef’s classics, one to seasonality, and one to a single featured ingredient. In winter, dishes of great finesse come to the fore, from game to veal sweetbreads with cinnamon, through to a raspberry risotto, with desserts of a distinctly contemporary character. The wine list is of a high standard, available by the glass as well as by the bottle, and enhanced by magnums of notable vintages, alongs

Situated in the heart of Porta Nuova, the elegant, contemporary-style dining room at this restaurant has recently been expanded with a veranda that has given a new look to the façade and is perfectly in tune with the character of this new, futuristic district. Here, Andrea Berton’s cuisine focuses on just a few ingredients transformed into attractive dishes which are simple in style without being minimalist. Creative and modern, the chef’s meat and fish dishes are showcased on tasting menus from which courses can also be chosen à la carte style. His “Non Solo Brodo” menu has become a real clas

IYO Kaiseki

Japanese, Sushi · ★ Michelin

Kaiseki represents the most traditional and codified form of Japanese cuisine, structured as a succession of courses alternating raw preparations with cooked dishes, following techniques faithful to Japanese tradition and skillfully interpreted by the chef. In this modern structure at the foot of one of the Porta Nuova skyscrapers, a minimal, pared-back dining room, illuminated by natural light filtering through floor-to-ceiling windows, introduces guests to classic Japanese cuisine through a broad and distinctive menu. For a first encounter with Iyo Kaiseki, we suggest the chef’s menu: a sequ

Housed in the Casa Baglioni hotel, a beautiful Art Nouveau building dating from 1913, this restaurant has a contemporary feel with an elegant dining room featuring colourful armchairs. The cuisine is precise and distinctive, with a harmonious balance of traditional and innovative flavours thanks to the top-quality ingredients used. The wine list is also top-notch, featuring excellent Italian and international wines, including some rare and exclusive labels. Housed inside the prestigious Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze hotel in the Corso Como and Piazza Gae Aulenti district of the city, this restaurant is run by multi-Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini. Minimalist elegance and design are the key words to describe the stylish decor here, inspired by Gio Ponti’s city of the second half of the 20C. Resident chef Michele Cobuzzi prepares dishes with a modern flavour, prepared using top-quality ingredients which are mostly sourced from his native region of Puglia.
