This small family-run trattoria is nestled in the heart of Carnia and is an excellent example of mountain hospitality. Most of the ingredients used in the kitchen are sourced locally and are complemented by vegetables from their own organic garden. The chefs are passionate about tradition, which they present to guests with a delightful personal touch, as in the case of their cjarsons, the area's famous ravioli, the filling of which changes with the seasons.Those with a sweet tooth really must try the chocolate trilogy, one of the restaurant’s most successful and popular desserts.

The cuisine is modern and beautifully presented with a special focus on meat, although the fish dishes are every bit as delicious.

The cuisine celebrates local produce in tune with the seasons: wild herbs from Valdestali in spring, vegetables from the kitchen garden in summer, and fruits from the surrounding woods in autumn. Delicacies include lasagnetta with venison ragout and chanterelle mushrooms, cjarsons and antique apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. There is only one tasting menu, and reservations must be made at least two days in advance.
