Nestled between the historic Treme neighborhood, the romantic French Quarter, and the iconic St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, the Brakeman Hotel offers a unique New Orleans experience. This exciting boutique property, housed in the beautifully restored 1904 Basin St. Station, the city's last remaining train station, is easily accessible just off I-10 Exit 235-A. The Brakeman Hotel provides gracious hospitality in spacious accommodations, evoking the elegance of romantic railroad travel with its furnishings and finishes. Developed and managed by the Valentino family, local hoteliers for over 60 years, the hotel features 18 guest rooms, on-site parking, Le Cafe for breakfast and lunch, a tour desk, exhibits, and a gift shop. As a former transportation hub, it also serves as a visitor information center and the primary stop for New Orleans City Sightseeing's hop-on hop-off tours.
