La Table d'Asten
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

The first floor of this house overlooking the port sets the scene for many a fine meal. After a remarkable career (Coquillage at Cancale, La Pyramide – Patrick Henriroux at Vienne and the K2 at Courchevel), chef Samuel Selosse now gives free rein to his creativity. Firmly rooted in the zeitgeist and always exquisitely presented, his cooking showcases first-rate ingredients, be they fish or vegetables, giving rise to delicacies such as cauliflower in citrus fruits and fire roasted cuttlefish, brill from small boats, asparagus and seaweed-flavoured hollandaise sauce or a pine-flavoured creamy mi

Rolland

Nestling in a valley through which a river flows, this former mill sports a stripped-back, industrial-style interior. Two brothers, one in the kitchen and the other in the market garden, concoct healthy, natural cuisine based on seafood ingredients (fish, shellfish, crustaceans) and vegetables, some grown on site; meat is shelved. From the 100% plant-based starter, such as Jerusalem artichoke with lemon and black garlic purée, to the seafood main, like John Dory with cauliflower, vinegar-flavoured shiitakes and fish bone jus, Rolland hits the nail on the head every time!

Aux Pesked
Seafood, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

Outside the town centre of Saint Brieuc, Aux Pesked embarks you on a journey between land and sea. In an uncluttered interior bathed in light, this eatery celebrates seafood with its briny and veggie-focused cuisine. Local produce and seasonal ingredients are cherry-picked by the veteran chef, who is on first name basis with each market gardener and fisherman. On the menu: tartare of scallops enhanced by fresh herbs, raviole of tender juicy crabmeat in a fragrant stock or a festival of shellfish in a shellfish and seaweed butter jus. Now add an intelligently curated wine list (organic, biodyna

La Vieille Tour

The contemporary interior, which makes ample use of the light and materials , is admirably paired with the delicate, seafood menu of this country house opposite the estuary. An idyllic setting to sample deftly crafted, first-rate ingredients. Chef Nicolas Adam is not content with awakening your tastebuds, he is also the proud creator of a bakery and of the Rock’n Toques festival that takes place once a year, combining music and quality street food. The glazed wine cellar boasts some 350 references.

This friendly bistro in the heart of this small coastal village occupies a charming building opposite the church. The space has been completely renovated in a contemporary style, while retaining nods to the past. Based on dishes for sharing and Celtic ingredients, the food bears the hallmark of Christophe Le Fur (Auberge Grand'Maison). Order a delicious pâté en croûte-style poultry and foie gras terrine, followed by a generous and perfectly indulgent house-made tiramisu for dessert. Front of house, Sonia Quéro provides dynamic service and a friendly welcome.

Chef Stanislas Laisney (formerly of Aigue Marine in Tréguier) and his partner Jane Morvant (front of house) are at the helm of this completely revamped restaurant. The creative cuisine makes use of local, seasonal produce in bold and surprising combinations, with particularly daring surf-and-turf pairings: langoustines a la plancha and black pudding on buckwheat risotto, or a strawberry dessert with sea lettuce and fennel...

Mathieu Kergourlay - Château de Boisgelin
Modern Cuisine

Chef Mathieu Kergourlay welcomes diners to this 450-hectare property, the small castle of which has been tastefully restored and decorated by his companion. The full-bodied, generous and consummately crafted food is full of surprises, such as scallops and Morteau sausage in a brioche bread roll with spinach and a reduction of pork jus. All the menus and the à la carte lineup are gluten- and lactose-free.

La Table d'Edgar
Modern Cuisine

Chef Sébastien David signs an enticing score using top-notch, mainly local Brittany ingredients. Expertly balanced flavours, consummate cooking and a sprinkling of bold combinations define the score: pollock paired with papaya-samphire-marjoram seasoning or a fennel-themed dessert flanked by a white chocolate ganache and bergamot seasoning. This painstaking attention to detail is also mirrored in the bright, relaxed interior whose pleasant lounge-dining area is set in a conservatory, adding both warmth and light to this town centre establishment.
