Located at Parkhotel Bremen, this restaurant occupies an elegant conservatory overlooking the Bürgerpark and the lake (Hollersee). Frank Seyfried, previously at Gotthardt's in Koblenz, runs the kitchen, serving up a contemporary take on classic cuisine. Create your own three- to six-course set menu from a tempting array of dishes. The good food is complemented by friendly and adept service.

This restaurant in the Atlantic Grand Hotel has a tastefully sleek interior, with dark wood panelling, large modern fixtures, as well as designer upholstered chairs in red and brown. The conservatory extension is also a lovely spot, as is the courtyard garden in fine weather – an Alpine-style hut is erected here every winter. The menu features classic dishes with a modern twist, plus classics such as schnitzel. Incidentally, the crockery is custom-made in Bremen. The location in the old town is ideal, with all the main attractions – the Weser River, Schnoor, Rathaus, Kunsthalle – just a short
