In a remote location in the Sannio, this authentic inn offers fine views from its well-kept dining room-cum-veranda and outdoor terrace. The owner-chef creates dishes with a regional flavour using produce from his own garden, without straying too far from local traditions.

This restaurant in the centre of this small town is run by the Silvestro family (father and son). In summer, book one of the tables in the charming outdoor space overlooking the square. The menu focuses on local traditional cuisine with the occasional personalised twist, such as the pork-belly kebab with a papacelle reduction (short, pulpy peppers with a sweet flavour) and stracciata sauce, while the wine list features labels from the Irpinia region (and elsewhere) with a good choice of vertical wines and top-quality names such as Aglianico and Taurasi.
