There is a snug, rustic feel to this old inn, where service is warm under the direction of the proprietress – a charming lady from Styria and a superb hostess. In the kitchen, a father-and-son team prepares flavoursome dishes using good-quality ingredients. The menu is divided into two sections: classic Swabian dishes such as Kutteln in Lemberger (tripe cooked in red wine) or house-made Maultaschen, and sophisticated dishes like pan-fried Breton monkfish on parsley root purée in lemon beurre blanc with tomato and spinach, and wild garlic risotto. An old jukebox provides the background music. T
