A few prime steaks sold by weight are ideal for celebrating, but the real value is to be found in the likes of the ‘szare klunchy’ (‘grey ducks’) dumplings topped with melting beef cheek, sauerkraut and a rich demi-glace sauce thickened with bone marrow. Formerly a grill-centric eatery, the Mibrasa charcoal oven remains in use for produce like tomahawk steak, but these days the menu is more expansive and could include their standout marinated herring, which delivers all the expected zing and vibrancy. There are some seriously good wines on offer too.
