Les Magnòlies
Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin
€€€
If you’re in or around Arbúcies, close to the Parque Natural del Montseny, this restaurant is a must for all food-lovers. Taking its name from the three mature magnolia trees that surround this 19C building, it has successfully and sympathetically upgraded its decor and levels of comfort. The focus of head chef Víctor Torres, who shares his time with the award-winning Quirat de la Ciudad Condal at the InterContinental Barcelona, is on modern, technical cuisine but without losing sight of traditional values, hence his strong commitment to local organic ingredients on an à la carte and two tasti

Torre Simón
Traditional Cuisine
€€
A restaurant with a historic feel, occupying a delightful colonial-inspired villa on the outskirts of Tona. Choose between the contemporary-inspired à la carte and an impressive gastronomic menu with a pre-determined array of interesting and different starters but with the freedom to choose the main course and dessert from the à la carte.

Contemporary
€€
A modern atmosphere, especially cosy, and with a profusion of wood, this restaurant invites us to stay a while. From the kitchen comes an updated Mediterranean proposal, with Catalan roots and nods to international cuisine, providing a fresh, almost botanical look, very much in line with the name of the restaurant. The à la carte is complemented by a set lunch menu on weekdays and a tasting menu.

Quatre Vents 3.0
Modern Cuisine
€€
This family-run restaurant, founded in 1964 by the owners’ grandfather, has retained its original name in homage to its origins, but adding the 3.0 to symbolise the third generation that is now at the helm. Modern and functional in appearance, and with views of the Montseny mountains, it focuses on contemporary cuisine that changes in line with seasonal ingredients. This can be enjoyed on the à la carte (we recommend the “a la llauna” rice dishes) and various set menus: Express and Satisfecho (only available lunchtimes midweek), the De Tapes (available for dinner), and the more extensive Homen

El Portal Vell
Catalan
€€
A family restaurant with over 70 years of history; in fact, it is now run by the third generation! It boasts an excellent location on the outskirts of town, in an attractive chalet-style house with a terrace and two private car parks. Inside, there are two distinct areas: La Cruïlla, for an affordable daily set menu, and El Portal Vell, with a more upmarket feel and a glass-fronted kitchen so you can observe the chefs as they work. The menu, with a distinctly Catalan flavour, is complemented by two set menus (Vega and Seasonal).

Mas Albereda
Traditional Cuisine
€€
Located just six kilometres from the town of Vic, this restaurant occupies a farmhouse with a pleasantly rustic ambience plus an attractive glass-fronted terrace. The updated take on traditional cuisine on offer here bears the quality stamp of chef Nandu Jubany, and is showcased via a surprising array of daily dishes (both sweet and savoury) as well as a tasting menu. We can particularly recommend the duck breast glazed with a heather-infused honey, plus the rum baba, the finishing touches to which are added at your table.
