The name sort of gives it away if you have any German: This attractive modern brasserie is housed in a former sugar factory, now a listed building. Exposed red brick walls and high ceilings give the setting an appealing industrial feel. In summer, the terrace is shaded by awnings. Flavoursome seasonally inspired dishes are served à la carte, with an additional set menu available. The waitstaff are pleasantly down-to-earth, very friendly and well organised.

Enrico Dunkel and his small restaurant have been a well-established part of the city's culinary landscape for years. His cooking style is ambitious, creative and draws on international influences. The set menu can comprise five, six or seven courses. Choose your accompaniment from the extensive selection of fine German wines. There is also a pairing menu. The interior is modern yet cosy.
