It is little wonder that Anette and Stefan Rottler's hotel is so popular: Their restaurant serves classic Baden dishes made with top-quality ingredients – from snail soup to pork fillet in cream of mushroom sauce to Zwiebelrostbraten (fried beef and onions in gravy). The smaller dishes and reasonably priced set menu of the day are also much in demand. The wine list is dedicated to local labels. Friendly and attentive service. Food is served in various dining rooms, some with a cosy, regional feel, others with a fresh and modern look. Delightful covered terrace.

This is the restaurant of the chic hotel of the same name, which provides the historical backdrop for your meal. The tasteful dining area is done out with high-end furnishings and a modern eye. Staff are friendly and professional as they set about serving you fine Baden classics, modernised French dishes, which you can choose à la carte or combine into a set menu – a vegetarian version is also available. The "Taste Menu" comprising six or seven small courses is also an excellent recommendation. In summer, the garden is magical!

It is delightful to sit in the shade of the large chestnut tree on the terrace to the rear of this inn, which dates back over 300 years, but the interior is also cosy. Either way, your dedicated hosts are always on hand. They serve Baden cuisine such as Sauerbraten (marinated pot roast) with red cabbage, or pikeperch on a bed of creamed sauerkraut.

The sort of restaurant you would love to have in your own neighbourhood. This long-standing family-run establishment delights guests with classics like cordon bleu, as well as contemporary creations such as scallops with pumpkin, curry and lemongrass – and, of course, excellent charcoal-grilled steaks. The menu, which features plenty of comforting soul food dishes, is complemented by friendly service and an inviting setting that makes it easy to linger. In summer, the terrace is divine. Unsurprisingly, this charming spot is also a popular choice for weddings.
