The young chef at the head, Menorcan Pau Sintes, offers a Mediterranean market cuisine rooted in the island's own products (sourdough bread with Menorcan seasonings, red prawns, sobrasada de payés, Sa Llotja's catch of the day...), which reaches the diner through the à la carte menu and a tasting menu.

An informal place to eat in the centre of Mahón? Opposite the always-busy Mercat des Peix, you'll find a place where they offer good Mediterranean market cuisine with interesting international touches. In this simple bistro, which also has a tapas bar called Augustin (they share the terrace), you can try dishes like escarole buñuelos, a reinterpretation of the typical Raoles, or the unctuous Cannelé with hazelnut praline chantilly. Located opposite the Santa María de Mahón church and run by a couple of Italian origin who fell in love with the island, it showcases recipes that are strongly based around Menorcan ingredients which they buy directly from fishing boats and local farms. However, you’ll also find nods to their homeland, including “passatelli”, a typical recipe from Emilia Romagna, which follows the recipe of the chef’s mother (with cheese from the island used instead of parmesan).
