The Frierss family are renowned for their sausages and other meat products. These wares are on site in their butcher's shop and well-stocked delicatessen, and are also to be found on the menu in this modern restaurant. Barbecued steaks feature among the mouth-watering specialities of the house, but there are fish and vegetarian options prepared in the open kitchen. Good selection of wines. This restaurant occupies a former abbey forge, a stone's throw from the shores of Lake Ossiach and the 11C abbey and church. The classically styled dining space has a lovely cross-vaulted ceiling, and the service is provided by an exceedingly friendly team. Florian Satran represents the third generation of the family to run the kitchen, and the cooking is done where the forge's hearth once stood.
