A completely renovated boutique hotel in the center is surrounded by the well-known alternative quarter Metelkova, the lively Trubarjeva street, Plečniks Triple Bridge and the colorful Ljubljana market. Hotel Asteria is only 5 minutes walking distance away from the Castle of Ljubljana and the river Ljubljanica as well as the main bus and train terminal of the city in the opposite direction. Jože Pučnik airport lies approximately 25 km away. In the cafeteria and the breakfast bar you will be pampered by homemade culinary delights, fresh coffee and lots more. Public parking is available by the hotel. The rooms are equipped with cable plasma-TV, hairdryer, free toiletries and if needed a bathrobe and slippers. Some rooms also have kitchenette and balcony, guests can choose these rooms when making a reservation. Check-in time 14.00-22.00. It is a place, where your dreams can come true.

The most scenic way to reach Ljubljana castle, which overlooks the city from the top of a hill, is by funicular – or by foot, if you like walking uphill. However you choose to get here, you’ll find this restaurant in the castle’s spacious inner courtyard, where it serves excellent local cuisine. Among the dishes that we enjoyed most, our favourite was the veal and curly kale – a superb fillet of veal served with the perfect accompaniment of curly kale and a fragrant mushroom cream.
