A visit to this delightful village is definitely worthwhile! Originally a bakery and café, this family-run establishment has evolved into a restaurant serving flavoursome, meticulously prepared dishes that take their cue from the changing seasons. As well as à la carte options, there is a choice of set menus. The upscale setting has a classic aesthetic. Attentive service comes courtesy of a well-organised and adept front-of-house team. A must in the afternoon: the delicious freshly baked cakes! Pretty guestrooms.

Set in the centre of this Black Forest village, this attractive restaurant dating back to 1748 is popular for its robust cuisine with classic foundations and plenty of flavour – the sauces are also fantastic! This is all testament to the skill of owner Thomas Zimmermann, who uses select ingredients in his dishes. The atmosphere, too, is just right, thanks to the lovely decor and the exceedingly friendly, attentive hostess. Tip: There are also some individually designed, upscale guestrooms for overnight stays.
